LEADERSHIP TEAM

    HADDY NJIE

    Founder / Chair

Haddy and her organisation, Speak Up Diversity led the campaign and motion: Making York an Anti-Racist and Inclusive City.

Haddy has been instrumental in raising the issues of racism in the City of York; challenging decision-makers and those in positions of power to start taking actions to address the increasing levels of casual and systemic racism.

She believes that we have admired and debated this issue for far too long. It is time for some real actions if we truly believe in justice, fairness and equality.

    JAKE FURBY

    Co-Chair

I am a mixed-raced LGBTQ+ person born in the UK, an interesting fact about me is that I have ancestry from every continent (except Antarctica). I have helped set up numerous organisations including York LGBT Forum, York Pride, York LGBT History Month, and Inclusive Equality Rights UK. I was very surprised to be chosen as a top 100 future LGBT+ Leader in 2021 (Yahoo!).

I have over 10 years’ experience delivering training in York and North Yorkshire to businesses, public sector organisations and charities.
